Background:
This was a school assignment and the mission was to
create a line of merch for a brand of my choice.
I chose Westerbottens Bryggeri, a brewery from the city
I grew up in. Their vision is rediscovering the
traditions of brewing in Västerbotten. There are a
handful of breweries in the nearby area who have merch
available for their customers. As of right now,
Westerbottens Bryggeri doesn't. But what would it look
like if they did?
Brief:
Create a line of merch that is consistent with
Westerbottens Bryggeriets existing visual identity.

Embracing Tradition
I gathered inspiration from their different beers. Each
beer is unique and inspired by
and named after a location in Sweden. The labels are
built up by a geometric shape with a border,
a specific color for each beer and a picture of the
location it’s named after.
I decided that the best
option was to embrace the history of the beers and to
use the colors, shapes and take inspiration from the
pictures of the different locations.
4 Unique Designs
The project resulted in 4 designs of 4 beers and their locations. I made sure to make the design adaptable so that it can be applied to an array of different merch products.
